A Registered NPO In Durban

Isinkwa Setheku is a registered Non-Profit Organization (NPO) based in Durban as a section 21 Company on 1st November 2002, registered as an NPO on 8th May 2006. Our main business, as per our memorandum and articles of association, is to meaningfully  improve, on a holistic basis, the lives of the destitute within the Ethekwini central business district and beyond such environs

Our main objective a registered NPO as per the above document is: the lawful promotion of health, charitable, communal, social and educational projects and self- improvement skills and all ancillary objects and interests, all on a holistic basis, in order to improve the social conditions of and assist in the general upliftment of destitute members of the community within the Ethekwini (Durban) central business district and beyond such environs and for the furtherance of such objects

To summarize what we do, can best be described as making Jesus Christ known in the Durban inner city. Our focus is thus on sharing the gospel of Jesus and making disciples.

Isinkwa Setheku (Bread for Durban) Registered NPO in Durban

Thursday Evening Outreach

We meet every Thursday evening at St Paul’s  Anglican Church , 161 Monty Naicker street Durban , to receive briefings ,collect  food and clothing where after we reach out to about half a dozen night shelters as well as the streets . We return to St Paul’s at about 8:30 pm for praise and worship and feedback from the various groups before leaving for home at approximately 9pm

Potjiekos outreach

The workers /volunteers who reach out are from different churches and a recent count indicated that there were about 14 different churches involved. Every 2 months we have a feeding outreach a.k.a our Potjiekos outreach, on Saturday mornings from 9 to 12 when we meet at St Peter’s Catholic Church Mahatma Gandhi (Point Road)
